This kurta fabric is rooted in the ancient art of Ajrakh, one of India's oldest hand block printing traditions, where a hand-carved wooden block dipped and pressed by a practised craftsman brings a warm brick-orange ground to life with indigo and midnight black buta motifs. That imperceptible variation in each impression is the signature of the human hand.

The dupatta tells a second story. Soft white cotton carries the folk art of Barmer appliqué from Rajasthan's Thar desert, where hand-cut fabric flowers fashioned from the very same Ajrakh print are stitched onto the base cloth and framed by a bold zigzag border. The two pieces speak to each other beautifully, as though the blooms have simply floated off the kurta and settled on the dupatta.

Pure cotton, two craft traditions, one seamless ensemble. Wear it simply with juttis and a thin gold bangle, and let the craft do the rest. This is a garment with a soul, made by hands that have known no other language but art.
